the PICK: ABC's LOST

LOST begins its final season on Tuesday February 2nd when it will finally wrap up six seasons of one of the most minding bending journeys ever to grace the small screen.  LOST is a show that defied the trend of mind-numbing reality TV and instead dared its audience  to keep up.  It has sent its rabid fan base to the internet to research everything from Christianity to Buddhism, from the literary works of C.S. Lewis to the more modern stories of Stephen King, from the philosophical ideologies of those such as Locke, Hume, and Rousseau to the more scientific realm of the Kerr Metric Equation, ring singularities, the Hawking chronology protection conjecture, and the Novikov self-consistency principle (look ‘em up, I did). But at the heart of it all, LOST is about the personal stories of the  characters the audience has come to love, root for/against, or to hate.  In the end LOST has surely raised more questions than it will be able to answer but it sure has been one hell of a ride.
